From starting out as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice and Graduate, to managing teams of professionals at Director level in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Charles’ experience in his early years was in mechanical and production engineering at International Harvester and British Steel, before moving into plastic injection moulding, vacuum forming and assembly, for customers such as Ford, Nissan, IBM and Apple. He then moved into the Toy and Games industry, with Waddingtons Games and Hasbro, which later led him to Mamas & Papas and Cybex GmbH where he spent a significant amount of time dealing with manufacturers in China, working on NPD projects. With experience of blade and edge technology, gained at the Cutlery & Allied Trades Research Association in Sheffield, England, (CATRA), Charles developed a premium knife brand in China with a US client.
Charles set up offices in both Hong Kong and Mainland China, employing Technical, Quality and NPD teams, before being invited to join a Manufacturing and Distribution Consultancy in Shanghai, as the Director of Operations.
With experience working in a diverse range of industries along with 2 decades of experience in China, Charles built close links with not only manufacturers in China, but also Vietnam, Taiwan, and America. Known for his meticulous detail and mastering China itself, Charles has built an outstanding reputation in the outsourcing, reshoring and manufacturing industry.
